Geek TV reviews, recaps and more!
PS. For those that wish to know… Yes, you can buy the Galavant soundtrack, and yes, the soundtrack in its entirety is available on iTunes, now.
The album was produced by Michael Kosarin, Christopher Lennertz and Alan Menken, and the digital version was released by Hollywood Records and ABC Studios on January 19th, 2015 .
The digital album includes 14 songs from the 4 Week Comedy Extravaganza. Hard copies of the Galavant soundtrack will be available in stores on February 17– and mayhaps they will include some bonus tracks for Galavanters to enjoy.
There were more than 14 tracks that were laid down for the show, considering the song “Stand Up” performed by Sebastian Bach that was used for the training montage in the episode “Joust Friends”, and the Tango number that Galavant and Madalena shared in this past Sunday’s episode, “Dungeons and Dragon Lady”. So while it looks as though we only have one song left, based on the track listing, that might not actually be the case for the finale. But if you do have a listen to the Galavant soundtrack before next Sunday, you should check out track 14, “Goodnight My Friend”. There aren’t really any spoilers involved– but I will say this, if Timothy Omundson (King Richard) ever gets kicked out of the acting business for being too damn amazing or something, he can always fall back on a singing career!
And Christopher Lennertz, Alan Menken, Glenn Slater, and everyone else that worked on this soundtrack should be ridiculously proud. It is lovely and I can’t get any of the songs out of my head! If you watched and enjoyed the show, you should definitely pick up a copy of the soundtrack. It’ll make you smile.
